Jessy and Clemson University

Clemson, SC

Stewart’s daughter Jessy is getting her PHD at Clemson University so stopping to see her was a must. Clemson is a small town with not much there except for the school. Jessy lead us around the campus and we got to see her little office. Clemson is a large campus with many old historical buildings.

Jessy wasn’t much of a football fan before she arrived at Clemson but being at that school at this time would make just about anyone hooked on the sport. After she went to her first tail gate party and participated in a football game she was ready to cheer for the Tigers.

One day Stewart and I discovered a great place to walk. It’s beside a water reserve. The winding paths went through the woods and ended up next to the lake. It’s a big enough area where hiking can last a few hours. Also there were people on horseback riding on trails. There are a few beaches around the lake and close to campus so the students are active in this area when not studying.

After a few days of rest and many conversations with Jessy we were ready to take off to the last day of driving. Destination, Tampa.
