Visiting a friend and seeing the sights

Stopping in DC gave us a chance to relax after many busy months and before much more driving ahead of us. Most people would wonder, you’re going to DC to relax? Well, it was a good place to stop on our way south. And our van was packed to the max so we needed to be some place where the van would be save.

We staid with a friend of Stewarts, Jared who lives right outside the city. We visited a few museums, walked around the capital and used the subway system. I was too tired to take in much…but did enjoy the few days we spent there. DC is a great place to visit, there is so much to see. At some point I’d like to go back and take more time to really see the area.
