Dear Friends, Welcome to my blog. I apologize for the first hick-up with the Clemson blog.
Before you begin to read this blog please click on the tab “About this Blog”. I am anxious to share my stories in Oman. I’ll begin that blog as soon as I finish with Spain.

My traveling journey could not begin until some unfinished business had been taken care of. First I had to move out of my home and then welcome into my family a daughter-in-law.

Due to the divorce I had to sell my beloved home which meant getting rid of just about everything in it because I was moving into a very small space. The summer was spent completing the development of the property, selling the house, a lot and then the shop. I’m pleased with all the people who bought the different properties, they all respect the open space that has been left in their care. I can now leave feeling at peace with it all.

What I kept when finished with the move was a dresser, my bed, one book shelf, a filing cabinet, a desk, all my kitchen supplies and my favorite pottery made by Theda. I packed all my favorite winter coats and boots and put them in storage. Everything else is gone. At first I missed my stuff but I’m now glad I did it. I feel free from it all.

In September my son, Andrew got married to a wonderful woman, Crystal, I love her dearly. They worked together planning their wedding with a little help from me. It was a 3 day event up in the hills of Maine at a summer camp for boys and girls. To see them so happy made it one of the happiest days of my life.

I’d like to thank Keith for coming out from California to help me with the flowers and sharing his music with us. Thank you to my 2 sisters Linda and Patsy and also Julia for helping with all those bud vases. Thank you to all my friends who helped cooking the breakfast for 200 people and many thanks to the McDermott family for helping with clean up. David McClain was the photographer we all appreciate your contribution, what a fantastic job you did. Thank you.
What a grand time we all had. Congratulations to Andrew and Crystal.

After all the details of real estate transactions, moving and helping with the wedding it was now my turn to do something for me. The opportunity to travel had been dangling in front of me for some time and decided this was a good time to do it. I sold my car which was the last thing left then Stewart and I took off in the Euro Van heading south.
